Cooking School in Sorrento

Unforgettable experience making limoncello with Alessia! One of the best experiences of our trip. We made and tasted limoncello and made local appetizers to go with it. The whole family loved it!

As everyone has already conveyed, small size of the classes and the love Alessia conveys for the traditional Italian cuisines that she instructs us in preparing in her lovely home in the hills above Sorrento. The excitement all started with her mother's driving abiilities through the narrow streets. What a way to start the adventure. I chose this picture because I thought it would be helpful for those who will attend in the future to actually see the beautiful young woman (And of course my wife Susan) who has opened her home so that we could experience a truly amazing afternoon with laughter, song and of course preparing the most scrumptious food and eating it on their veranda. If you're going to be in Sorrento, this experience is one you will not want to miss. Thanks to Alessia and her entire family for making us feel right at home during this part of our Itallian adventure.

Al Dente cooking class was one of our most memorable activities of our Italy trip. We were debating between another cooking class but Luca, our host at Relais La Rupa, highly recommended this class and we were glad we listened. We were transported to high up on a hilltop to a gorgeous setting and then we had such fun with Alessia making tiramisu and 2 different pastas. Then we ate this wonderful meal with a gorgeous sunset and beautiful backdrop. I can't wait to try making pasta on my own! Highly recommended!!

If you are in Sorrento, a cooking class with Alessia at Al Dente Cooking School is a MUST-DO! You will be warmly welcomed into her lovely family home and treated kindly by anyone you meet there. Alessia is wonderful during the planning, answering all questions promptly and being flexible to any of your requests. We all had great hands-on experience while also having fun, talking, laughing and listening to music! Everyone in our family said this was the BEST part of our trip to Italy as well as the BEST food we had during the trip! The pasta we made was delicious as well as the chocolate tiramisu. The prosecco and limoncello were a bonus as well as eating in their lovely yard with gorgeous views. We could have stayed there all night! Thank you Alessia for providing a wonderful memory for our family!

What a great experience Alessia’s class is! This was our family’s FAVORITE event AND MEAL from our whole trip! Alessia welcomed us into her beautiful family home and it was wonderful to meet her lovely family. The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous and we were able to pick ingredients from her garden for our meal. We made 2 absolutely delicious pasta dishes and dessert - the BEST pasta we have ever had! She serves wine with dinner and we also got to try her family’s homemade limoncello! It feels like you are at a friend’s house and you don’t want to leave! If you have a chance to take a class with Alessia - do it!

Our cooking experience with Alessia was one of our favorite things we did in Italy. Alessia could not have been a better host. She was friendly, fun, kind, patient, and down to earth. Our afternoon with her was like spending time with an old friend, the kind where you do not want the day to end. We were so appreciative of her and her family for inviting us into their beautiful home and the hospitality shown to us. Neither one of us are experienced cooks or very handy in the kitchen. However ,Alessia made us so comfortable she had us preparing our meal like we were pros in no time. Every step was both fun and enlightening and with her help and guidance we were able to make a truly amazing meal. If we had known this was going to be so much fun and create such a great memory for both of us, we would have planned another class with her during our time in Sorrento. I guess we will just have to come back to Sorrento and spend more time with Alessia. Thank you again Alessia for being such a gem of a person. Steven and Nancy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with Alessia. She did a wonderful job, teaching us to make ravioli and tagliatelle for lunch and it was very tasty!

An absolute MUST in Sorrento. Alessia was an amazing host, very accomodating and kind. We went with a group of five and we all had the most amazing time. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. Breathtaking views, beautiful scenery and the food we made was DELICIOUS. Alessia was very patient and we all had a great time laughing, cooking and dancing!

Before we even left for our trip to Italy, our hostess was communicating with us to make transport arrangements for us, to her house. Our driver, her mother :) arrived promptly at the designated time. Alessia, our hostess, met us and showed us around their beautiful yard full of lemon trees and olives and cozy home. We got to cooking right away and made two different kinds of pasta with sauce - one for ravioli with tomato sauce and tagliatelle with lemon butter sauce. For dessert we made Tiramisu. They served us wine and limoncello at the dining table. It was all fantastic! Alessia was a knowledgeable and gracious hostess - this was the highlight of our trip. We definitely recommend this cooking experience, and can’t wait to try at home! (We have never had such tender ravioli!!!!) Thanks Alessia

Alessia provided a wonderful experience. The food, atmosphere, and her hospitality exceed everything we’d hoped for. As an added bonus, the home and surrounding land were absolutely beautiful . The gardens were impressive, and we were lucky enough to have the privilege to cook with fresh produce grown on site. Would definitely do again!

This was awesome!!! It’s a must do! We had such a fun time, our favorite event of our trip! Alessia is amazing, her family was great, they arranged for transportation. Then the tiramisu was so fun and good, and the pasta making was amazing!!! Anthony her brother was a great boy so much fun!! Thank you, loved it!!

Alessia was fantastic. She was warm, and so inviting into her home. We had a great time as she shared her knowledge of cooking and food. We highly recommend a night cooking with her. We thank her for a wonderful memory in Sorrento.
